Ornament Swap

Back in December Dawn from Candidly Clyde did a great job hosting an ornament swap that I took part in.
You can see the round-up from the swap here. (I love the Australian baubles!)

I sent my swap partner a Christmas pudding bauble and was very happy to find a sturdy box in my stash that it fit into perfectly.

My swap partner Rhianne sent me this crochet ornament she made. I love the Christmassy colours.

Because Rhianne was a little late in sending me her half of the swap she included some extra goodies which was really nice of her. I got a cute little notebook and some chocolates which was lovely.

Have you ever taken part in a swap? How did it go?

Spring time swap

Last month Dawn from Candidly Clyde organized a May day spring time swap.
It was in a round-robin style so we gave to different people than we received packages from.

I had Twinkle from twinklevanwinkle.com to send something to.
I thought a painting would be nice so I searched through the photos on her site for inspiration and came across this instagram photo which had the caption, 'Happy Hour | The Lemon Drop - pretend like it's Spring :)' which seemed appropriate for a springtime swap so I painted it.

I also made a little strawberry fridge magnet out of Sculpey.

I received these goodies from Franca from Oranges and Apples.
A set of notecards with Franca's own photography and a cute flower hairclip.
Lovely.

Craft Swap

I got my things from the craft swap organised by Kelsey at Artichoke Designs in the mail!

They came all the way from Sweden from Lady Night.
They were each individually wrapped and the sweet note was on fancy paper. It was so lovely.

I got a pretty knitted ring, a pink bracelet and a cute little bunny brooch.
I love them, thanks Lady Night!

Taking part in the swap was fun and it was nice to connect with other crafters all over the world.
Also, it's nice to receive mail!

Speaking of; I also received this which means they got my hair!

Spreading the craft

I recently took part in a craft swap hosted by Kelsey over at Artichoke Designs.

I made something for Katie from Sweet Rustic who is from Australia. My little package took 3 weeks to get there!

Based on the aesthetic of her blog name I made Katie this pendant. I (or rather my Dad!) cut the wood and I sanded it to a round shape. Then I painted on the rose and varnished it and added some pretty pink ribbon.

I also sent Katie this pair of simple earrings that I put together.

I think the craft swap is still going on so head over to Kelsey's blog to take part.
