Ring Presentation Box

Having tried out some new ways of presenting my handmade necklaces, I now need something to show off the rings I have for sale.

I remembered a tutorial I'd seen on a blog ages ago (so long ago that I can't remember the link) for a presentation box and when I saw this wooden box at the Scrap Store I knew it would be perfect.

To turn it into a presentation box I cut some foam to the width of the box and wrapped each piece in wadding to bulk it out a bit.

Then I put them in the box, folding a piece of fleece material over each one.

Once everything was tucked in it was done. Simples.
And nothing is glued in so if I want to use this box for something else in the future then I can easily take the foam bits out.

The rings fit snuggly in the fleece. Hopefully this will make the rings stand out more so people buy them!

There's rings and more jewellery to be seen on my Etsy shop.

Necklace Gift Cards

I'm still thinking of new ways to present my handmade necklaces for craft fairs and I came up with this for my fabric bows; make them look like bow ties!

I drew the shirt illustration on the computer and printed it on to card, with my shop and blog information on the back. I drew over the lines with a black pen for the handmade feel.
I put two holes in the front of the card to put the necklace chain through, and made little paper pockets to put the rest of the chain in which stick to the inside of the card.

I'll be selling the cards with an envelope making it super easy to give these as gifts.

I created a similar thing for my word necklaces with speech bubbles on the cards.

I'm hoping displaying the necklaces on cards will make them stand out more to customers, and encourage people to buy them as gifts.

All the necklaces featured in this post, with the cards, are available in my Etsy shop.

Presentation Boxes

With Christmas craft fair season approaching I've started thinking about new ways to display the things I sell. These necklaces usually get lost when hung all together but now they should stand out.

The cardboard boxes were £1.75 for 5 from the Scrap Store and I made the insert by sticking a layer of card to sticky-back black foam with a loop of ribbon in between. Then I put two notches in the edge to hold the chain.

The bright necklaces look great against the black. Except for the black necklace which I had to find a different colour for.
